What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is simply a method of delivering and/or receiving fresh audio content in mp3 format from web sites that offer audio content. Users either install a Podcast client program on their local computer or use a web-based podcast 'client' and then subscribe to Podcast 'feeds' found at web sites offering audio content. The Podcast client checks the feeds on a regular basis for new content and when new content is made available it is downloaded to the user's computer/podcast client automatically. Think 'Tivo' for audio content. For example, a user who subscribes to the Evergreen Christian Community podcast will automatically receive our content (currently new sermons) delivered to their Podcast client whenever new audio content is posted.
How do I subscribe to the ECC Podcast?
To subscribe to the ECC Podcast, simply choose one of the podcast clients below to automatically start receiving content updates. To listen to the updates, simply login to your 'client' and click 'play'. For iTunes (or equivalent desktop podcast software users) the content will be automatically downloaded to your PC as it becomes available.
